Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

Current Offers
Free Estimate on Any Chimney Repair
When a chimney repair is the recommendation, you’ll get a written price delivered before any work starts, always, on every job, no exceptions. The number on that written estimate is the number on the invoice if you approve the work. This free estimate covers sweep findings, inspection findings, and repair recommendations for Houston homeowners across Harris County, including neighborhoods like Meyerland, the Heights, Bellaire, West University, and Kingwood.
Valid through March 31, 2027. Mention this offer when you call (325) 750-6259.
Seasonal Chimney Tune-Up: Sweep and Inspection Bundle
A clean, safe chimney every time means pairing a full mechanical sweep with a Level 1 inspection, which includes a visual check of all readily accessible portions of the chimney interior and exterior. Houston’s pre-burning-season rush starts in September and runs through December, so this bundle is built for homeowners who want the sweep and the inspection handled in one visit at a predictable price. Written price before we start, as always.
Valid through March 31, 2027. Mention this offer when you call (325) 750-6259.
First-Time Customer Courtesy: Sweep Discount
New customers in the Houston area qualify for a courtesy discount on their first standard chimney sweep. We’re not going to play pricing games with a fake inflated number, so call and ask for the first-time customer rate. The sweep removes creosote and soot buildup from the flue liner and smoke chamber, and the technician documents the work with a written before-and-after report when requested.
Valid through March 31, 2027. Mention this offer when you call (325) 750-6259.
Senior and Military Courtesy Discount
We offer a standing courtesy discount on sweeps and inspections for seniors and active-duty or retired military in Houston. We do this quietly and without drama, because it’s the right thing to do and because plenty of Houston veterans and retirees have chimneys that need the same attention as anyone else’s. State your status when you call and we’ll apply the courtesy.
Valid through March 31, 2027. Mention this offer when you call (325) 750-6259.
Chimney Repair with the 365-Day Done Right Promise
Every repair we perform carries a written guarantee valid for a full year from the service date. If a covered repair fails within that period, we return at no charge. No argument, no invoice for the return visit. This is included on every repair job and isn’t conditional on any coupon, but we’re listing it here because in Houston, repairs often follow a sweep that found something real: a cracked flue tile, deteriorated mortar joints, a rusted damper assembly. You’ll have the written guarantee in hand before the repair begins.
Valid through March 31, 2027. Mention this offer when you call (325) 750-6259.
Live Person Answers, 24/7, No Exception
This isn’t really a coupon, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. But it’s on this page because Houston homeowners calling about a chimney issue at 9 p.m. on a Sunday deserve a real person, not a voicemail tree or a callback form. Our phones are staffed by a live person around the clock, seven days a week. Call (325) 750-6259 and someone picks up. If you need to discuss an offer or book a visit, the person on the line handles it. No waiting until Monday.
Valid through March 31, 2027. Mention this offer when you call (325) 750-6259.
How to Redeem
Redemption is straightforward. First, call (325) 750-6259 and mention the offer by name. The person who answers will confirm eligibility and tell you what to expect. Second, book the visit at a time that works for you. We’ll schedule the sweep, inspection, or repair call and get a written price to you before any work begins. Third, present your offer reference at the time of service. If you have questions about coverage, qualifications, or what the guarantee does and doesn’t include, ask us when you call. We’ll answer plainly. Written by Hank Delano, Owner at Flint Chimney Co Houston, serving the Houston area since 2002.
How much does a chimney sweep cost in Houston?
A standard chimney sweep in Houston typically runs $180 to $340 depending on the chimney height, the amount of creosote buildup, and whether accessibility is straightforward or requires special ladder work. Flint Chimney Co Houston gives you a written price before any work starts, so the number you approve is the number you pay. Call (325) 750-6259 and ask about the first-time customer courtesy if you’re a new client. Estimates are free.
Do I really need a new liner, or can the chimney wait?
Sometimes you genuinely need a new liner, and sometimes the existing one has years left in it. We won’t recommend a flue relining (replacing the inner liner that channels smoke safely out of the house) unless camera inspection shows actual damage: cracked flue tiles, gaps between sections, or corrosion in a metal liner. Our technicians work with professional-grade materials from DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield, and they’ll show you the camera footage so you can see exactly what they’re seeing. If the chimney can safely wait, we’ll tell you that too. Call (325) 750-6259 for an honest inspection-based answer.
How often should a chimney be swept in Houston?
Once a year is the baseline for a wood-burning chimney in Houston, assuming regular use. If you burn a lot during Houston’s mild but occasionally hard winters, or if you burn unseasoned wood, twice a year isn’t unreasonable. Gas fireplaces also need periodic checks, though less frequently. The National Fire Protection Association standard is to have the chimney inspected annually and swept when creosote reaches 1/8 inch or more. We can measure that during a standard inspection and tell you where you stand. Call (325) 750-6259 to schedule.
What actually happens if I skip chimney maintenance?
Creosote accumulates inside the flue lining and becomes a fire hazard. That’s not scare talk; it’s chemistry and airflow. Houston’s high humidity can also accelerate masonry deterioration, particularly on older brick chimneys where moisture has already worked its way into the mortar. A blocked or damaged chimney can route carbon monoxide back into the house. If you haven’t had the chimney inspected in recent memory, we’d rather check it and find nothing than wait until something finds you. Call (325) 750-6259 for a straight answer based on an actual inspection, not a guess.
